The other day I grabbed out pack of cheap plastic number magnets and threw them on a metal baking sheet in an attempt to distract Priscilla from something I'm sure she wasn't supposed to be doing. I sat them down on the coffee table next to a bunch of colorful wooden blocks that Sawyer had left out after using them to build monster truck ramps (isn't that what they're made for?). Priscilla ran right to them. I didn't think much of it until I saw what she was doing with them...
I was SO EXCITED to see her grab each magnet off the tray and place it on it's coordinating color block. It didn't entertain her long, but I was so proud to see her come up with this all on her own. I couldn't have come up with a better learning game myself!
