Leprechaun Footprints and Other St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans

After the lights go out on the eve of St. Patrick's Day our house comes to life.  Those silly leprechauns run around the house playing games and tricks in celebration of their holiday.  The kids awake in the morning to see what shenanigans the leprechauns were up to through the night.  The kids are amazed to see that the little guys got into our green (washable) paint and left their little footprints all over the paper and table.

Here's how the little footprints are made.  Shhh.... don't tell my kids!

And here are some more ideas for other fun Leprechaun Shenanigans
  • Scatter the kids' green toys around as if the leprechauns had played with them.
  • Turn the milk in the fridge green with food coloring.
  •  Make a trail of gold chocolate coins.
  • Tape rainbow colored streamers to the kids' bedroom doors.
  • Turn the toilet water green with food coloring.
  • Turn things upside down and inside out.
  • Hide paper cut-out shamrocks for the kids to find.
Do the leprechauns visit your house on Saint Patty's Day eve?
