Kids Craft: Mom’s Sleeping Door Hanger for Mother’s Day

Mommy's Sleeping Door Hanger 2

Every day some days this busy mama just needs a nap!  I rarely get one.  But once in a while when Cliff is home to watch the kids, I’ll get a few more precious minutes of sleep in the morning.  But the kids inevitable come running up the stairs to wake me or play around me.  So I decided the heck with the baby; Mama needs a “Shhh - Mommy’s Sleeping” door hanger to remind those kids to let me rest!

Kid Made Mommy’s Sleeping Door Hanger

  • store-bought unfinished wood door hanger
  • paint in your choice of color
  • paint marker
  • sequins, rhinestones or stickers
  • kid-friendly craft glue and q-tips for applying it

This turned out to be a really fun and easy craft that the kids could make for me as a handmade Mother’s Day gift.  You could let the kids paint it themselves, but I pre-painted ours and just let the kids decorate it.  You could also decorate yours with lots of other things, too, like markers, sequins or stickers.  It turned out awesome.  And everyone that sees it gets a little chuckle, too.  Now let’s just see if it actually works…
