Kids Craft: Egg Carton Jewelry Box Gift for Grandma

Egg Carton Jewelry Box 4

When I saw this egg carton treasure box from nurturestore, I knew it would be the perfect project for Priscilla.  She made it as a jewelry box for her Mi-Mi (my mom) for Mother’s Day.

Kid Made Egg Carton Jewelry Box Gift

First she painted the recyclable cardboard egg carton with her choice of orange and yellow.

Since the paint didn’t cover the print on the box, I traced the sides and top of the carton onto her choice of scrapbooking paper then cut out the pieces for her to decorate.

She wanted to decorate the polka dot paper with these little stickers and flower stamps.  Then we glued the paper onto the top and sides of the carton.

She was so proud to give this to Mi-Mi for her earrings.  And my mom, like any good grandma would be, was thrilled to have it.  Priscilla had so much fun making it that I think we will make one for her, too.
